![]() The Physical release for PS4, Xbox One and Switch is scheduled to hit stores on June 16, 2020. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is set to release digitally on May 26 including a new story expansion and three new playable characters in Fujin, Sheeva and RoboCop. ![]() The original release of MK11 on the Switch did feature a cartridge for the retail copy, so it's not specified why it's not making a return for its newly bundled version. This isn't the first time that all of a game's playable information won't be included on a cart for the Switch, but it is fairly rare for a full retail release to not include a cartridge at all effectively rendering the purchase all but pointless to those looking for a purely physical copy of Aftermath. In the same response, WB's support page also confirmed that the physical copy for the Switch would not include a cartridge at all and instead simply include a download code for all content. There will also be a voucher inside of the game case for the skin packs though the Nintendo Switch seems to be the big outlier here. confirmed that the PlayStation 4 (and presumably Xbox One) versions of Aftermath will include the base game, Kombat Pack and new expansion on disc. After fans asked the support Twitter account for further information about the contents included with the retail copies of the game, Warner Bros.
